6 and 7 Weeks Old

While we're slowly getting the hang of things around here, I'm still behind on blogging of course.  Something's gotta give when you're managing a toddler and an infant, and I guess this is it.  As a brief update, C eats around every 2 hours in the day which is rough, but usually sleeps for 4 hour stretches or longer at night.  He sometimes likes to cry from 9-midnight, also rough, but the good news is made till 7 am last night which was a wonderful treat!!

Big sis B is awesome.  She doesn't dote on him as I thought she might, but is an excellent helper and eloquently describes his crying fits by saying, "Booper, wah."  She lets C share the play mat and swing with Mr. Wockett which is very giving of her.  :-)  Her cousin came to visit from Austin this week, and she's also been staying busy with Mothers Day out this summer.

All in all we feel amazingly blessed these days, and are working to see through the exhaustion just how wonderful it is to be parents.  Before we know it they'll be all grown up!

We are in survival mode over here, hence the lack of verbiage and delayed timing in the last couple posts.  C is a great baby, but sleeps all the time with the exception of a random 2-4 hour window during the middle of the night / wee hours of the morning when we'd all rather be in bed.  The awake photo below was taken at midnight.  Little man knows how to rock a red mohawk and frog onesie.

Big sis B also had an awesome time pouring and squirting water in her kiddie pool on the back porch with Mimi this week.  Add in pandora and popsicles and it makes for an awesome afternoon:

Cooper Isaac

He was born at 12:47 pm with a full head of hair and weighed 8 pounds 3 ounces, measuring 20 3/4 inches long.  We are very tired as little man has his days and nights confused, but so unbelievably excited to have him here as part of our family.  We love him immensely! 

B's Birthday!!

It's B's, and ONLY B's birthday today!!!!!!  [As a brief update, my appointment went well this morning and baby is still nesting safely inside my belly which will hopefully last until next week.  Plus - 

we still have LOTS to do this weekend to get ready for this nameless little man to arrive!!]  We spent today having fun with our daughter who makes our hearts burst with so much joy.  This little girl has changed our lives and we're in awe of God for blessing us to be her parents.
